Setting:

The setting of my book is in the Florida Keys in present day. The Underwood's live near Thunder Beach.

Point of View:

It is in 1st person and is told by Noah Underwood.

Plot:

Noah's dad sinks a gambling boat because he thinks that Dusty Muleman, the owner of the Coral Queen, is dumping its waste into the water. While Noah's dad is in jail, Abbey and Noah try to prove their dad is innocent. After rough patches Abbey and Noah go on a quest to personally prove the Coral Queen and Dusty are guilty.

Characters:

Noah
Underwood
(protagonist)
He is a young man who loves fishing and his family dearly. Noah does not get along with his mom all the time, but after visiting his dad he knows what he has to do. Throughtout all the tough times Noah still tries to prove that his father is innocent.
Abbey Underwood
(protagonist)
She is Noah's little sister and also loves her family. Abbey is very spunky and has lots of attitude, but wants to help Noah. After Noah and his parents give up Abbey goes by herself first and later goes with Noah on Operation Royal Flush.
Paine Underwood
(protagonist)
Paine is Abbey and Noah's father. Paine cannot deal with people hurting nature and not being punished. He thinks that the only way to punish Dusty is to sink the Coral Queen. After sinking the Coral Queen no one believes that he is innocent and he has to do time for what he did.
Donna Underwood
(protagonist)
Donna is the mother of Noah and Abbey. She also loves her children, but doesn't want them to be as impulsive as their father. Throughtout the story she is the one who believes, " Everyone will get what they deserve." She isn't like Paine, in the fact that she doesn't think you should act on impulse.
Bobby
"Pop" Underwood
(protagonist)
Bobby is the father of Paine. Bobby goes on a mission before Abbey is born and fakes his own death. Paine thinks that Columbian officials are holding his body. Bobby later shows up in the Keys and has to secretly help Noah and Abbey. Noah and Abbey can't know he's there, but when things get sticky he has to break his cover.
Shelly
(protagonist)
Shelly is the bartender and girlfriend of Charles "Lice" Peeking. At first, Abbey and Noah, don't think that Shelly could help them. Shelly later proves her importance in the operation.
Dusty Muleman
(antagonist)
Dusty is the proud owner of the Coral Queen. He is a greedy business man that wants to make as much money as possible. In order to cover his tracks he always has the crew do his dirty work as he is sitting at home counting his money. Dusty is the one who blames Paine for all the bad publicity he is giving him. He is also responsible for getting Paine thrown in jail.
Jasper Jr.
Muleman
(antagonist)
Jasper Jr. is in Noah's grade but they are anything but friends. Jasper Jr. is always trying to beat up Noah and stop him from doing anything to his father. Jasper Jr. later figures out Noah's plans and trys to stop him before its to late.
Luno
(antagonist)
Luno is a hired Morrocan goon. Luno works for Dusty on the Coral Queen and is responsible for Dusty's "dirty work." He has no fear about any man or woman, but the Underwoods seem to be making his simple job an awful lot harder.
Charles
"Lice"
Peeking
(minor character)
Charles is Shelly's boyfriend and a very smart man. Lice use to work for Dusty, but Dusty fired Lice after he figured out about Dusty's operation. Dusty threatened Lice that if he ever said anything he would be dead. He agreed to this but he didn't know he would become friends with the Underwoods.

Conflict:

Their are many conflicts, but the major one is Person vs Person, and the minor conflicts include Person vs Society. Paine believes that Dusty is dumping his waste into the water and wants Dusty to be Punished. Some minor conflicts are people not listening to Noah and believing him. Also, Noah is trying to convince his mother that Paine is innocent and that she shouldn't divorce him.

Theme:

I believe that the theme is even if other people won't listen to you, but you stick up and fight for what you think is the truth, you will win in the end. This is shown through all of Noah's difficulties, he eventually finds a way that he can catch Dusty. Even if it costs him fifty eight dollars.
